APPLICATION

It is the traditional bentonite of DAL CIN SPA, activated by an original process since 1949. This activating process has been sensibly improved according to the new technologies. Superbenton DC powder is characterised by an extraordinary fining and deproteinizing power. The treatment with Superbenton DC gives a high stabilisation and a special colour brilliance and brightness to the wines.

METHOD OF USE

Superbenton DC must be dissolved, by pouring it slowly and stirring, in room temperature water 1:15. Let the solution rest for a few hours stirring it sometimes: the more you leave it swell the best will be the action. After that stir again and pour it slowly in the wine to be treated, while pumping over the whole mass in order to homogenise it. After 48 hours, the mass will appear clear. If gelatine or albumin treatment is needed to partially eliminate tannins from wines, they must be added before Superbenton DC.

DOSAGE

500-1000 ppm (50-100 g/hl) to obtain a good protein stabilisation and a complete clarification of young wines; 400 ppm (40 g/hl) for wines partially clarified. The dosage may be increased up to 2000 ppm (200 g/hl) in case of very turbid, rich of tannins and colour wines. Treating musts it’s advisable a dosage of 500-1000 ppm (50-100 g/hl) of Superbenton DC.
